Mountain Warehouse Photoshoot
Greetings!

And, while they’re not Seasons Greetings just yet, with Christmas just around the corner they’re not far off…

The Winter season is now upon us and, as well as Scotland’s resorts being open for skiers & boarders this weekend, snow is finally dumping down in the Alps – in fact, I had some friends tell me this morning that they took their kids to school on sledges!

I’m off out to the Alps this weekend myself, for my first shoot of the winter. I’m delighted to be working with a brand new luxury chalet company – and looking forward to sampling their excellent hospitality as much as the shoot itself. If you’re going to be around the Val d’Isre / Val Thorens / Alpe d’Huez area in the next couple of weeks then I’d love to catch up for a coffee / beer / genepy!

I’ll leave you with a couple of snippets of November news, so until next time,

I always get a bit of a kick when I’m out & about and I come across my images – whether I’m expecting it – or even better when it’s a surprise. November’s been no exception – so I thought I’d share a couple of these with you …

Somnio Running

Somnio is founded on the principle that running shoes should adapt to the individual runner and improve biomechanics. Every runner is different, and we believe that every pair of running shoes should be different too. Somnio needed an image to stand out for their advert in Running Fitness Magazine.

Somnio Running are in stores nationwide, visit, www.somniorunning.co.uk for info.

I’m delighted to have shoot the cover image for “The book that gives you permission to be a little bit selfish – in a good way!” A departure from some of my more typical photography subjects – this photo was taken as part of a collection in Getty Images.

Mountain Warehouse Shoot Part 1
Mountain Warehouse
As we all know, the crazy world of fashion dictates that clothes are often designed, made and photographed well before hitting the shop floor. The Mountain Warehouse Spring/Summer Collection is no exception.

A UK company, the Mountain Warehouse brief was to showcase their upcoming ranges using a backdrop of stunning UK scenery, so the week before last was spent enjoying the (not-so) tropical conditions in the (not-so) tropical location of Dover and the South Downs.

Mother Nature did everything in her power to thwart us with record rain falls and floods all over the South East, 100 mph winds in the Isle of Wight and “the storm of 20 years”…

After being beaten by the elements, the shoot was rescheduled and took place in the Shropshire Hills around the Long Mynd and Stiperstones, my own private Lake District… without the lakes! Conditions were variable but a damn site better than two weeks previously down south! Although it’s virtually winter time some of the lighting conditions were fabulous.
